The company began as MindSpeaks PsychologicalClinic on November 20, 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Myla Pilar S. Pamplona, a Psychologist, Registered Guidance Counselor, Psychometrician, and Certified Specialist in Counseling Psychology (CSCOP), was the sole proprietor of the clinic, which catered to the mental health needs of its clients. Due to the increasing demand for mental health services, the clinic eventually expanded and was established as a company under the name Humind Inc. It is located at the R & V Building Main Office in Buhay na Tubig, Imus City, and is dedicated to promoting the emotional and mental wellbeing of its stakeholders. The company is duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and has obtained its Certificate of Registration from the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
At the beginning of its operations, Humind Inc. answered the call of the times as the pandemic brought a rising number of individuals struggling with anxiety and depression. With compassion and the use of evidence-based interventions, Humind Inc. was able to support and guide more than 100 clients in its first year of operations, offering them a safe space for healing, hope, and understanding. Beyond individual care, the clinic actively championed mental health advocacies by conducting webinars on mental health awareness, understanding anxiety and depression, maintaining balance during the pandemic, coping with pandemic stress, and other informative sessions aimed at educating Filipinos about the importance of caring for their mental well-being. Humind Inc. also extends its support to schools by providing consultancy services for institutions that need guidance in addressing the mental and emotional challenges faced by students. Over time, its services expanded to reach not only students but also teachers and employees through its Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), helping create healthier and more supportive communities both in schools and in the workplace. Humind Inc. also serves as a valuable training ground for future mental health practitioners by providing opportunities for hybrid practicum experiences.
Through these activities, trainees are guided in developing essential professional skills such as conducting intake interviews with clients, administering psychological tests, scoring and interpreting assessment results, and preparing psychological reports. They are also trained in psychological assessment and case conceptualization, allowing them to gain meaningful and supervised exposure to the practice of mental health care. At present, Humind Inc. is supported by well-trained mental health practitioners and dedicated staff who remain committed to delivering quality services to clients. These services include intake interviews and assessments, mental status examinations, psychological assessments, counseling and psychotherapy, psychological evaluations for adoption, as well as webinars, training workshops, consultations, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Through these initiatives, the organization continues to promote accessible, compassionate, and professional mental health care for the communities it serves.
